DINO MIRANDA – EUROPEAN TOUR 2024

Well-travelled Globe trotter Dino Miranda is at it again. His 2023 European tour had left sequels and created a sense among the audience to want more. By popular demand, the composer and crowd puller is undertaking another tour to Europe not only to consolidate his presence, but to entertain the audience who seemed never satisfied to enjoy his shows. Miranda who is no stranger to grand stages around the world, confided that he worked very hard and is more than ready to tackle this year’s dates, sharing with his fans first taste of new materials. He described his upcoming tour as a series of masses wherein the high priest (Dino Miranda), together the churchgoers (crowd), will sing and marvel in unison to the well-crafted tunes of the Mozambican maestro.
Highlight of Dino Miranda’s 2024 European tour will be a performance on Sunday  14 July at the Afrika-Festival Stuttgart in Germany. The festival in its 19th instalment is a unique forum showcasing African music, art and dance, culture, culinary excellence, fashion and films. On the music front artists such as Pape Samory Seck of Senegal, Falafel of Morocco, Sambusa of Cameroon, Kwadi of Ghana and many more prominently talented African artists. Joining this list this year, is Dino Miranda, the first Mozambican artist to grace the festival, to entertain festivalgoers with his unique touch of marrabenta, afrojazz and kizomba. The “Fatal” troubadour will then carry on with his European tour across Europe until mid-September 2024, before returning home to Mozambique.

COAST TOUR TO MOZAMBIQUE AND SOUTH AFRICA.

Award winning artist, Singer, Guitarist, Composer, Arranger, Producer and CEO of
Dinomirandamusic and Trading and Miramundo Produções announces his Coast to Coast tour to
South Africa that will take him, between 22th June and 6th August 2022, from Maputo,
Mozambique, to Durban, East London, Grahamstown (Makhanda), Port St John, Plettenbergbay,
Knysna, Hermanus, Bathurst, St Francis Bay and Cape Town. The tour is the first of the artist after
the lifting of the lockdown due to the Covid19 pandemic which forced the Government to halt all
forms of concerts, festivals and gatherings across the land.
The Coast to Coast Tour will also serve Mr Miranda to share with his audience his latest 2021
singles, namely his “Moçambique” featuring various artists, and “Dança Comigo”, featuring guest
artists Abuchamo Munhoto & Teba Shumba; a proof that the restrictions populations had to endure
because of the pandemic did not deter Dino Miranda from working and being productive.
A prolific composer, arranger and producer, Dino Maranda’s music is a blend of afro-pop,
Marrabenta and fusion although from time to time he will choose to delve strictly in one of the
above, therefore creating a distinctive sound that he alone has mastered and which give him the
idiosyncrasy that he so well possesses. These qualities render his music eclectic and automatically
a feast for revellers who attend his live performances

 

About Dino Miranda
Growing up in a household lulled by music in his native Mozambique, Dino Miranda embraced a
career in music after completing his studies at the FUBA School of Music in Johannesburg and
subsequently jazz studies at the renowned College of Music of the University of Cape Town. He
has ever since travelled extensively and performed around the world. Dino Miranda has
collaborated with established and renowned artists such as Jimmy Dludlu, Jeff Maluleke, Bheki
Koza, Stewart Sukuma and many more. He has won the Mozambican Music Award  and Ngoma Mocambique award  in 2009. 2017 was ranked second at the  International Songwriting Competition/World Music category, in the
USA with the song “Marrabenta”. To date,

Gone are the restrictions days marred by the Covid19. As South Africans are preparing to
celebrate their first festive season as free as before, Award winning artist, Guitarist, Singer ,
Composer, Arranger, Producer and CEO of Dinomirandamusic and Trading and Miranmundo
Produções, Dino Miranda, will be back by popular demand after his a hugely successful “Coast to
Cost” Tour of June to July 2022.
Beside Port St John, Hermanus, Plettenberg Bay, Bathurst and Cape Town who will have the
pleasure to be rocked away by the island style and entraining lyrics of the Guitar Man, people in
Knysna, Hermanus, Oudsthoorn, Calitzsdorp and many others in the Coastal region of South Africa
can brace themselves for a treat of the music Maestro.
Kicking off on sautrday 3rd December in Bathurst at the Rocking the Green Festival, the
second instalment of the Coast to Coast Tour will serve as an etching programme of the newly
2021 compositions of Dino Miranda, in the minds of revellers and followers. AS a reminder, the
artist will perform his latest singles, Moçambique and Dança Comigo, featuring several guest
artists among whom well-known Teba Shumba and Abuchamo Munhoto.
The Music Man who has developed a distinctive sound drawn from his native Marrambenta, afrofusion
and pop, zouk and kizomba is upbeat about the Tour and confesses to be hard at work
preparing with his band for the Tour, as he wouldn’t want any fan to be seated during the show. He
confided to close relations that this time around, “you get in OKAY and you get out KO”.
